I hope each of you  have had a fun and relaxing summer vacation and are ready to begin a new school year at QHS.  This year I will be teaching the following Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) classes:

• Culinary Arts I
• Culinary Arts II
• Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness
• Child Development 

I encourage each student enrolled in a Family and Consumer Science class  to become involved in the Quanah - Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA),  which is a student organization that focuses on our families and community.  It is a fun way to learn new things,  help others and meet new people!

Fall Festival

Our Region II  FCCLA Officers and chapter members "Speak Out for FCCLA" at the Fall Festival this weekend.

This is going to be a busy week with all of the Homecoming Festivities!!!
We will be learning so much this week in Family and Consumer Science!

• Lifetime Nutrition and Wellness class will be learning about time management and efficient work skills.
• Culinary Arts Class will continue the ServeSafe Training unit of study.
• Practicum of Culinary Arts will be studying workplace safety and health and also workplace hazards.
• Child Development will be learning more about relationships and traits necessary for marriage.
